Dr. Mark DiFrancesco
Dr. Mark DiFrancesco is Assistant Professor of Radiology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and Imaging Research Center.
A physicist with more than 15 years of experience in the commercial sector developing medical devices, Dr. Mark DiFrancesco offers unique insights into imaging technology. He is an assistant professor of radiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and at the Imaging Research Center. There, he works in research on advanced MR imaging and analysis.
His recent work includes the use of concurrent EEG and fMRI to detect functional correlates of spontaneous brain activity, the study of the neurocognitive effects of Lupus using fMRI, applying functional imaging to investigate attentional deficits arising from sleep restriction in adolescents and assessing the impact of field strength on the quality of small animal brain imaging. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Carnegie-Mellon University and master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Pittsburgh.
