The U.S. Congress passes their version of the "America Invents Act"
The U.S. Congress on June 23rd, 2011 passed their version of the "America Invents Act" or H.R. 1249 by a vote of 304-117. The Senate passed their version, S. 23, in a 95-5 vote back in March. The two versions of the bill have to be reconciled before a final bill can be sent to the White House for President Barack Obama’s signature.
